Career

Heather is a qualified Primary School Teacher, currently teaching in a Reception class in Norfolk, UK. During her successful 16 year career working with children, she has also held some other exciting roles in childcare management; including running a childcare setting, and managing a busy nursery.

Education

Heather has a degree in Childhood and Youth Studies, and a Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE). She is also a qualified childcare professional. She has completed numerous professional courses and training, such as safeguarding, special needs training and P.E. training.

Interests and hobbies

Heather has a strong professional interest in safeguarding issues, as well as being passionate about children learning through play. In her spare time, Heather enjoys writing (which is how this blog was created), helping others (especially with all things child related), and cycling. She is a keen cook, and enjoys encouraging children to get actively involved in meal preparation and to make healthy food choices. Heather also loves travelling, and to date has visited 11 counties; a passion which she shares with her own children too.

Heather is a mother of 3 beautiful children; an 11 year old son, and 7 year old identical twin boys.
